Made
For A Reason
Why did God create you? Well
consider this; He created the sun to give light and heat. The rivers
to give life, the clouds to give water, trees and plant life to give
fruit. God made the fruit to give seed, and the seed to give birth to
flowers, and vegetables. Flowers to give perfume and vegetables to
give nourishment. May I suggest that He created you for the same
reason, to give. The Bible teaches that we are to glorify and enjoy
God forever. How do we glorify and enjoy Him? Answer; as we give of
ourselves to God and give of ourselves to others, we bring glory to
God and joy into our hearts.
If you are living your life to
take from this world, your life will always be empty. You were created
to give, to give blessings, to give of yourself. To give help and
comfort to those in need. To give light, to give love, to share the
gospel. Do you want an abundant life? Then give. Give encouragement;
give joy, give hope, and love. Walk by faith in the fullness of His
Spirit so that your giving will be generous. For when you give, it
shall be given to you, abundant and overflowing. You think about that.
Give, and it will be given to
you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over,
will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you. [Luke 6:38]
And
do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such
sacrifices God is pleased. [Hebrews 13:16]

A
Time to be Drunk
Some,
however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine
(New Wine)." Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his
voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who
live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to
what I say. These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in
the morning! ACTS 2:13-15. To paraphrase (People as a rule
do not get drunk and party at nine in the morning).
May
I say a good sign that the Holy Spirit is working in your life, is
when there is rejoicing at the wrong time. When everything seems to be
going badly and you celebrate God's grace. When all the odds seem to
be against you and you laugh and dance. When you should be bitter and
hateful according to your view of things and instead you love your
enemies. My friend that is evidence of the Spirit's work in your life.
Let me encourage you to rejoice and praise your Heavenly Father now.
Trust Him to make all things right. Thank Him for His great gift of
salvation. For His promise to never leave nor forsake you. For the
truth that He saves to the uttermost. That there is no condemnation to
those in Christ Jesus. That He has wrapped you in the perfect
righteousness of His Dear Son. That your sins are forgiven. We have so
much to thank Him for. My prayer child of God; Is that we will get to
know the power of His resurrection, the fellowship of sharing in His
sufferings, and becoming like Him in His death. For this my friend; Is
the joy of the New Wine.

THE
FRUITS OF THE RESURRECTION
The fruits of our Lord’s resurrection from the dead are many:
Look first, at the immediate results. (1)- It silenced those who
ridiculed His claims, and struck terror into their hearts. (2)- It
explained how the prophecies would be fulfilled which predicted His
death and the kingdom glory to follow. (3)- It encouraged His
followers, making cowards bold, turning their fear into faith, their
sorrow into joy and their despair into glorious victory.
Now consider the long-range results. (1)- The Lord’s resurrection,
is a warning to unbelievers. “Because God hath appointed a day in
the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man whom He
hath ordained; wherefore He hath given assurance unto all men, in that
He hath raised Him from the dead” (Acts 17:31; see also John
5:22,27; Acts 10:42).
(2)- As to believers, Christ’s resurrection from the dead assures us
that our debt of sin has been fully paid; “He was delivered for
our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ” (Romans 4:25; 5:1).
(3)- His resurrection gives us a living Savior to help us in our daily
walk. “Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost
that come unto God by Him, seeing He liveth to make intercession for
them” (Heb. 7:25).
(4)- His resurrection is the pledge of our own resurrection from the
dead. “That Christ should suffer, and that He should be the first
to rise from the dead…” (Acts 26:23). “But now is Christ
risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept”
(1Cor. 15:20). “Blessed be the God and father of our Lord
Jesus Christ who, according to His abundant mercy, hath begotten us
again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead” (1 Peter 1:3)
Rejoice child of God, we serve a living Savior. Know that His
sacrifice secured our salvation for evermore. Jesus paid it all, all
to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as
snow. O praise His Holy Name. Hallelujah! Thank you Lord Jesus for
saving a wretch like me. Amen and amen.

Magnifying
Yourself?
Mavet is the Hebrew word for
death. Dying to self leads to life and joy. Many believers are not
happy with themselves at all. They struggle with low self-esteem, with
their faults, their weaknesses, their hypocrisies and all the sin in
their life, past and present. That’s magnifying yourself. It’s
pride. God’s word says we are to repent of our sins, confess our
sins and move on by dying to self. A lot of self-help books will tell
you, you have to learn to live with yourself. The Bible tells you
something else. The Bible says crucify yourself. Get the focus off of
you and on Christ. If you hate yourself, you are still focusing on
yourself. But if yourself is crucified, there is no self to hate
anymore; there is no self to condemn, no self to criticize, no self to
deal with. The old self is Mavet- dead. Accept it. Try something new;
forget about magnifying yourself; instead magnify the Lord and worship
Him. Then you will really know how precious your life is and the joy
of dying to self.
APPLICATION:
Go to a brother or sister in need today, and do something in God’s
love to help their situation.
I
have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but
Christ lives in me; and the life, which I now live in the flesh I live
by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. GALATIANS

Road
to Destruction
That
if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
ROMANS 10:9
What happens when a society
rejects the Gospel? When Nazi Germany rejected the moral restrain of
Christianity, the weak, defenseless, poor, sick, mentally ill, outcast
and six million Jews were killed. Ancient Greece wanted to rid the
society of all deformed children. Cultures without a love for the
Gospel invent their own ideas of an ideal state and follow a path of
destruction. It was the Gospel that overcame infanticide and abortion
in the ancient world. May I say the Gospel brings life, not only for
eternity, but here on earth.
Spread the Gospel and you can
bring life to a society otherwise on a road to destruction. The Gospel
saves lives; it changes lives, and changes cultures. What happens when
society rejects the Gospel? We have only to study history and look at
what is happening around us today. Allow God to use you to make a
difference. It starts by your sharing with a friend, a neighbor, a
family member. Bring the life-giving message of hope and salvation,
because lives really do depend on it.
APPLICATION: Write a letter
about God’s salvation in Christ and send it to someone who needs to
know the Gospel.
For I am not ashamed of
the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for
everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek
(Gentile). ROMANS 1:16

Is
God a Puppet or Master
A puppet is controlled by others, a master controls others. A puppet
acts according to its strings that are pulled. A master pulls the
strings. Without realizing it, many people liken God to a puppet. For
example, they say God wants to save sinners, (and He does), but the
sinner must let Him. In other words, that God as a puppet acts
according to the strings that the sinner pulls. I am convinced and
convicted that God is Master and not a puppet. [And all the
inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and He doeth
according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants
of the earth; and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What doest
thou?] (Dan. 4:35) Beloved, If God wants to do something and
cannot do it; then He is not doing according to His will, but
according to the will of others, or those that pull the strings. [For
the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost.]
(Luke 19:10) It was our Savior’s will to seek and to save His lost
sheep, [My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow
me, and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.] (John 10:27-28)
Jesus spoke without doubt or reservation. He knew His sheep would be
saved because He would save them. May I say, I for one am thankful
that the Lord is not a puppet, but that He can save a lost, dead,
alienated sinner without his consent. Listen to what Jesus said in
John 15:16 [Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you…]
Ask the Apostle Paul if God is a puppet or master.

GROWING
IN GRACE
Much
more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved
from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we
were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having
been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. (Rom. 5:9-10)
The blood of Jesus has saved us
from our sins. Now our fight of faith is this: to walk in the Spirit
and leave behind the ways of the flesh. For as many as are led by the
Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Rom. 8:14)
Jesus died to bring us life.
Even more, He lives to walk with us in the grace of transformation.
May I say, that by the sure foundation of Scripture, the Spirit of our
Lord helps us grow up into our salvation. For surely it is not angels
He helps, but Abraham’s descendants. (Heb. 2:16)
The night is almost gone, and
the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and
put on the armor of light. (Rom. 13:12) Consequently, you are no
longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people
and members of God’s household. (Eph. 2:19) Child of God the key to
growing in grace is this: (putting on the armor of light.) Have you
surrendered to the Lordship of Christ, that He might work His
transforming grace in and through you? This is how the armor of light
is put on.
All praise and joyful
thanksgiving to Jesus, who gave His blood that continues to cleanse us
from sin as we walk with Him in the light, waiting for the day of our
redemption.

TEMPTATIONS
And it came
to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto
her, to lie by her, or to be with her. And it came to pass about this
time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there
was none of the men of the house there within. And she caught him by
his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand,
and fled, and got him out [GENESIS 39:10-12]
But
every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and
enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and
sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death [JAMES 1:14-15]
Temptations
are subtle, persistent and often come when everything seems to be
going well. The Tempter gives us many ways to rationalize our sins;
Therefore we need convictions based on God’s word, we need the mind
of Christ, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and the Father’s
abounding grace, if we are to resist and overcome. Paul says in
1CORINTHIANS 10:13 . There
hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is
faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are
able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye
may be able to bear it
The
bottom line child of God; keep alert, stay in the word and focus on
Jesus. You think about that.

HEARING
AND DOING
Do
not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it
says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is
like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at
himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like (James
1:22-24).
Anyone
who hears the word preached, who reads or studies the word: but does
not apply the word or incorporate the word into actions; the
Bible says that person is engaging in self-deception and is like one
who observes his face in a mirror with just a fleeting glance and soon
forgets what he looks like. May I say child of God; that God's
word is not going to have any impact or transforming power in your
life if it is not acted upon. My prayer is that you and I will put
into practice through the power of the Holy Spirit; the light
that the Lord gives us. Let our lives bring glory and praise to Him
and Him alone. Thank you Lord Jesus for your wonderful grace; amen.

MOVING
TOWARD GOD'S GOAL
Brothers,
I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I
do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I
press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me
heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14).
Dedication
and determination are two principles that are involved in
reaching spiritual goals. The Believer must be devoted to Christ and
Him alone. Be no longer influenced or affected by the past. Be single
minded in focus. Overcome stumbling blocks that stand in the way
through the power of the Holy Spirit. And by faith continue to press
on toward the heavenward goal, that God has called each of us to in
Christ Jesus. God has promised to shape, mould and conform us into
Christ likeness. He has said in His word that when He starts a good
work He will bring it to completion. [Can you say thank you Lord
Jesus for your amazing grace].

Bible Study
Do your best to present yourself to
God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly
handling the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
The Bible is not merely a collection
of entertaining stories or tips for living a successful life. It is
the very Word of God. May I say there is no substitute for the study
of God's Word, if we want to have a correct understanding of God's
character, activity, and purpose. We need to pray and study Scripture
with receptive hearts, submissive to the Holy Spirit, as He works in
us, renewing our minds, transforming our lives, and deepening our love
for the Savior. You thank about that.

Some Thoughts
About Prayer.
Prayer is talking to the Sovereign God, who
encourages, hears, and answers the prayers of His people. Prayer is a
high privilege and should be exercised often. Prayer needs to be
God-centered and not self-centered. Prayer should be given in the name
of Jesus, because He is the only mediator between God and man. Genuine
prayer is always clothed in humility and in loving obedience and trust
that God will answer, as He knows best. Prayer includes listening to
God as well as talking to Him. Prayers always should be offered in a
spirit of gratitude and humility. We can share with God our desires
and hopes, but we should always seek His will. Thoughtful and concise
prayer pleases God more that foolish ramblings. You think about that.

A
COURAGEOUS CHOICE
“By faith Moses, when he had
grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He
chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to
enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. He regarded disgrace for
the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt,
because he was looking ahead to his reward. [HEBREWS 11:24-26]
When Moses became an adult,
he made a deliberate choice to leave the lifestyle of comfort, luxury
and prestige in the Egyptian royal court and chose to cast his lot
with God’s people; living a lifestyle filled with suffering, poverty
and persecution.
Moses considered the abuse
and contempt that he would suffer for the sake of Christ to be of
greater value than all the treasures of Egypt. He knew that spiritual
treasures would last for eternity, while material wealth was temporal
at best.
As Christians we can be
courageous in our faith, looking ahead as Moses did to our heavenly
inheritance in Christ Jesus. Walking not after the flesh, but after
the Spirit. Choosing not the ways of the world, but the way of the
cross.
Lets heed the words of Jesus
in Matthew 6:19-20, where Jesus says “Do not store up for yourselves
treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves
break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in
and steal.
Remember what Scripture says;
“Choose you this day whom you will serve” [JOSHUA 24:15].

TELLING
THE GOOD NEWS
Then Philip
ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet.
"Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked.
"How can I." he said, "unless someone explains it to
me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him........
Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the
good news about Jesus. (Acts 8:30-31,35)
May I say
you can began anywhere in Scripture and preach Jesus, because you will
find Jesus on every page of the Bible.
One of the
ministries of the Holy Spirit is to teach the believer the things of
God. However The Spirit of God does not void the need of human
teachers or diligent study. The Holy Spirit is not given to make study
needless, but to make Bible study effective. Paul tells Timothy and
all believers in 2Tim.4:2 [Preach the Word; be prepared in
season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage- with great
patience and careful instruction]. Child of God the spiritual gift
of teaching may not be given to all believers, but the call to teach
by word and example is. Give God glory and tell someone about Jesus
today. Be a witness unto the Lord, make His saving grace known to all
who will listen.

IN
ORDER TO GLORIFY GOD
We
who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to
please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good,
to build him up. For even Christ did not please Himself..........
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to
bring praise to God. (Romans 15:1-3,7)
In
order to glorify God, Christians are to follow the example of Christ
and like Him are not to please themselves, but are to please others.
Those who are strong in the faith have a moral and spiritual
obligation to bear with the failings of the weak and to help them.
Believers should follow the self-denying example of Christ. Welcome
one another, and live in harmony with one another, to do anything less
would be an insult to Christ. Did not Christ suffer and die for each
of us who have been born again? Did He not purchase our redemption
with His own blood? Thank about it. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY.

A
PARABLE ON PRAYER
Then
He said to them, "suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to
him at midnight and says,' Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have
nothing to set before him.' "Then the one inside answers, ' Don't
bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in
bed. I can't get up and give you anything.' I tell you, though he will
not get up and give bread because he is his friend, yet because of the
man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
"So I say to you; Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you
will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who
ask receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will
be opened. (Luke 11:5-10)
The
point is not that we will get whatever we ask, if we are persistent,
but that we should never be afraid to ask. We are not in the position
of having to plead with an indifferent neighbor [As in the
parable]. Because we are dealing with a loving Father who wants to
supply our needs. In other words don't come to God only in midnight
emergencies, but keep in constant communion with Him. Paul exhorted
"pray without ceasing."

SPIRITUAL
MAN
"The
man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the
Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot
understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual
man makes judgments about all things." (1Corinthians 2:14-15)
When
God gives you eternal life, He gives you Himself. When the Holy Spirit
reveals truth, He is not teaching you a concept to be thought about,
He is leading you to a relationship with a person. Always tie a
revealed truth to your understanding of God and your relationship to
Christ. [Lord
help me to overcome anything that hinders my relationship with you.
When you speak to me through your word, give me the grace to obey. In
Jesus name amen].

LOVING
GOD
"Love
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment."
(Matthew 22:37-38)
A
love relationship with God is more important than any other single
factor in your life. Everything in your Christian walk, everything
about knowing Him, everything about knowing His will, depends on the
quality of your love relationship to Him. Can you describe your
relationship with God as one of loving Him with all your heart, soul,
and mind. I hope so.

AGAPE
LOVE
Beloved,
let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves
is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know
God, for God is love. (1John 4:7-8)
God's
love is unconditional, sacrificial, and without limits. The Bible says
that we are to love one another, that we are to love our neighbors,
and even love our enemies. We are to love all people with the love of
Christ, no matter how unlovable they might be. [Lord, I don't
always love people as I should. Give me a heart like yours, so that I
can truly love people as they are, not as I would like them to be. In
Jesus name amen].

SERVANT'S
HEART
So when He
had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said
to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? You call me
Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord
and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one
another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as
I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not
greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who
sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do
them." (John 13:12-17)
Do you
want to be blessed? Develop a servant's heart. We are His
bond-servants, and a servant is not greater than his master. If Jesus
can step down from a position of divine glory to become a man, and
then further humble Himself to be a servant and wash the feet of
twelve undeserving sinners, we ought to be willing to suffer any
indignity to serve Him.

GUARD
YOUR ATTITUDE
"Do not
judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be
condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be
given unto you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and
running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you
use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:37-38)
We
determine the standards by which others judge us. We always reap what
we sow after we sow and more than we sow [Gal. 6:7-8]. Don't be
guilty of a judgmental or critical attitude. God's word gives us
authority to judge only doctrine and behavior and nothing else.

HE IS
WORTHY
Enter
His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to
Him and praise His name (Psalm 100:4).
I will praise
the Lord at all times, I will constantly speak His praises (Psalm
34:1).
Praise
God because of who He is, not because of what He does. Praise is pure
worship and adoration. In praise you affirm God and express your love
for Him.

JESUS IS
LORD
"If
anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife
and children, his brothers and sisters; yes, even his own life; he
cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and
follow me cannot be my disciple. In the same way, any of you who does
not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple." (Luke
14:26-27,33)
The
believer must love Jesus more than any other person, possession, or
purpose. We are to surrender ourselves afresh and anew each day to
Him; that we might walk in the fullness of His Spirit and bring glory
to His name.

Ye Can Do Nothing...I Can Do All
Things
What a contrast we have in the above
two statements that are taken from scripture. How can this be explained?
"I am the vine, ye are the branches; He that abideth in Me, and
I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without Me ye can do
nothing". (John 15:5) Here the Lord teaches us that He (the
true vine) is not dependent on us (the branches) but we are absolutely
dependent on Him. For in Him we live, and move, and have our being...(Acts
17:28) Without the Lord we are dead in our sins, we have no movement, no
soundness of mind, hence (ye can do nothing). What about the above
latter statement? I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me. (Phil. 4:13) May I say if we abide in the vine
there is nothing that is in God's will that we cannot do. Without
Him we can bear no acceptable fruit, but with Him we can bear much
fruit. Notice what the Bible says in Jeremiah 1: 6-7. Then said I "Ah,
Lord God! behold, I cannot speak; for I am a child". But the
Lord said unto me, "Say not, I am a child; for thou shalt go
to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt
speak".

Serve The Lord Out Of Gratitude
May I say; We don't serve the Lord in
order to try and convince Him to save us from our sins. We serve the
Lord because He has already saved us from our sins. Paul says that
"the love of Christ constrains us" to serve Him, out of
gratitude for saving us by grace through faith [2Corinthians 5:14]. He
adds that since "He died for all...they which live should not
henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and
rose again" [15]. It is only "reasonable" that
we live for the One who died for us, and present our bodies a "living
sacrifice" in the service of the One who presented His body a
dying sacrifice for us on Calvary [Romans 12:1-2].

Don't Presume On The Grace Of
God
Speaking of the sins of the flesh,
Paul says in [Ephesians 5:6-7] "because of these things cometh
the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye
therefore partakers with them". Some-day the wrath of God is
going to fall on unbelievers because of their sin. Just because you
are safe from the wrath of hell as a saved and secure child of God,
don't presume on God's grace and continue to partake of sin with
unbelievers. That is the bottom line of Paul's exhortation.
To illustrate Paul's point:
Washington D.C. is full of foreign ambassadors who enjoy diplomatic
immunity to our laws; they cannot be prosecuted by our courts for
violating them. Yet when a speeding diplomat hit and killed a little
girl with his automobile some years ago. Our citizenry was rightly
outraged, because he could not be prosecuted. How could he flagrantly
violate our laws just because he was immune to the prosecution of our
courts? May I say, as Christians we should feel the same outrage at
the thought of sinning against the God who saved us just because we can
