Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for its better to be alone than in bad company. [George Washington]

If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under. [Ronald Reagan]

The Bible, is the rock on which our republic stands. [Andrew Jackson]

The belief in a God all powerful, wise and good, is essential to the moral order of the world and the happiness of man. [James Madison]

The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all civil constitutions and laws. [Noah Webster]

It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here. [Patrick Henry]

They that give up essential liberty to obtain temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. [Benjamin Franklin]

There are some so-called Christian homes today with books on the shelves of the library that have no more business there than a rattler crawling about on the floor, or poison within a child's reach. [Billy Sunday]

Mind how you pray. Make real business of it; Let it never be a dead formality. Plead the promise in a truthful, business-like way. Ask for what you want, because the Lord has promised it. Believe that you have the blessing, and go forth to your work in full assurance of it. [C. H. Spurgeon]

Because God is everywhere, you can pray anywhere.

Submission to God's will is the softest pillow on which to rest.

It is not you working for Christ, or you working with Christ, but it is Christ working in and through you. [Hudson Taylor]

The Christian life is a life of repentance and dependence, involving God's grace and faith-obedience on the part of the believer.

Human responsibility can only be implemented in the dynamic of God's grace.

Grace is God in action in accord with His character as expressed in His Son, Jesus Christ.

You can't be a peacemaker if your M. O. is chaos. [Steve Brown]

Christian; want to know what you will be like when you get home? Read the Beatitudes. [Steve Brown]

Want to walk in the fullness of the Spirit? Make worship a lifestyle.

The Christian life is living out in practice your position in Christ.

Man centered theology produces a performance based religion that leads to legalism.

Christ centered theology produces a grace based relationship that leads to faith-obedience (i.e. obedience motivated by love for God).

Christian leaders should remember that they are shepherds, not ranchers.

The battle is His, but you still have to fight. [Steve Brown]

Come to a conclusion, any conclusion will be better than no conclusion. [Steve Brown]

God's Sovereignty does not exclude man's responsibility. Jesus said, "no one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him." (John 6:44) As well as, "if you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed." (John 8:31)

Grace always runs down hill. [Steve Brown]

The Holy Spirit will convict you, Satan will condemn you. That is how you know, who is speaking to your heart when sin is the issue.

Faith opens the door for thanksgiving, and a grateful heart is a joyful heart.

Its too late to question your calling when you're already in the battle. [Steve Brown]

God has made us a little lower than the angels, sin has made us little better than devils. [Thomas Watson]

Anything you can explain you can control.

Worship is glorifying God in everything you do.

In commanding us to glorify Him, God is inviting us to enjoy Him. [C.S. Lewis]

God wants our worship to be motivated by love, thanksgiving, and delight, not duty.

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him. [John Piper]

Worship is far more than praising, singing, and praying to God. Worship is a lifestyle of enjoying God, loving Him, and giving ourselves to be used for His purposes.

When your life is used for God's glory, everything you do can become an act of worship.

God doesn't want His love and purposes kept a secret. Once we know the truth, He expects us to share it with others.

God gave you a new life and a new nature when you received Christ. Now, for the rest of your life on earth, God wants to continue the process of changing your character.

God molds our wills to obey, then gives us the energy to work according to whatever pleases Him. That is the Spirit filled life.

A text out of context is a pretext. [Don Hawkins]

The whole Bible is for you, but not about you.

Grace does not push or demand. It lingers, it waits, with movement that is respectful yet unrelenting.

God is more concerned about our character than our comfort. His goal is not to pamper us physically, but to perfect us spiritually.

When you get upset with grace, it is because you have not realized how much you need it.

The Christian life is not found in doing, but in abiding. Abiding in Christ and Him alone.

Abiding in Christ is simply being with a friend who loves you.

With faith I can do all things, without faith I shall neither have the inclination nor the power to do anything in the service of God.

Little faith will save a man, but little faith cannot do great things for God. [C. H. Spurgeon]

If you love darkness and are satisfied to dwell in gloom and misery, then be content with little faith. But if you love sunshine and would sing songs of rejoicing, covet earnestly this best gift, "Great Faith." [C. H. Spurgeon]

An up and down Christian life is up and down because of an up and down relationship with Jesus Christ.

The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. [shorter catechism of the PCA.]

You cannot generate praise, praise happens when you understand the fullness of the gospel.

Profound truth always leads to profound praise. [John MacArthur]

Its natural to be religious, it is supernatural to be Christian.

Our gifts and worship is acceptable to God, only because we are in Christ, to think otherwise is the highest form of arrogance.

Resisting the Lordship of Christ, leads to all kinds of deceptions.

The law is good, the gospel is glorious.

The Christian life is not found in doing, but in abiding. Abiding in Christ, in the same way He is abiding in the Father.

Meaning is not found in the stuff you do, but in your relationship to Jesus Christ.

Saving faith produces a new nature in the believer that reveals itself in obedience to the Lord. Obeying the Lord does not earn a person salvation, but rather reveals the person's salvation.

What you believe, does not control your behavior, but it does shape your attitudes and actions.

Only in the Christian life does surrender bring victory.

Faith is believing what one cannot see, and the reward of faith is to see what one believes. (St. Augustine)

The future is as bright as the promises of God. (Adoniram Judson)

We will always live less than a responsible life if we fear anything other than God. (Neil Anderson)

God isn't discouraged. Why should I be? (John R. Rice)

The world doesn't need a definition of Christianity as much as it needs a demonstration.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit. (Harry Truman)

You will grow by meditating on the Word of God...until it becomes a part of your life. (J. Vernon McGee)

If you desire to grow spiritually and bear fruit that will last, then study and apply God's Word to all aspects of your life.

Keep your eyes on the Lord; stay in His light and the enemy will flee from you.

Let your present situation be your testimony. Glorify the Lord in your situation and He will deliver and bless you.

Let the Lord bring healing into your life. Worship Him and give thanks instead of dwelling on your problems.

Move on: leave your sins on the cross. Jesus paid the price. Don't dwell on what's been paid for in full! then, now, and forever.

Let the old way die and live in the newness of the resurrection and you will be lifted up.

Trust that God will preserve and lead you through all things. He is faithful, true, and the same today as yesterday.

Celebrate your freedom in the Lord! He who is in you is greater than any of your problems.

Don't worry about your situation. All things, good or bad; are used for your good and God's glory.

Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation. (Elton Trueblood)

What spoils and degrades our testimony is not our humble need for God's grace, but our presumption of deserving it.

By focusing on God's Word, we are learning more and increasing our thirst for Him. As we discipline our minds to meditate on His Word, we begin reaping the spiritual benefits of increased discernment and a clear sense of purpose.

One problem believers sometimes face is tunnel vision: if we become focused on our own personal problems, we can forget who we are in Christ and our new position in Him. That we are heaven bound saints and partakers in His return and reign.

Long before a crisis hits or a solution is needed, a wise believer will be consistently seeking God. In trouble free times, we can build a foundation of trust and communion with Him that can withstand any trial. Trouble will come, but the Father is faithful, and will workout all things for our good.

When turmoil hits, ask for spiritual eyes to discern the Lord's will. Then listen for His voice and obey.

What troubled waters are you trying to navigate? Remember: God's promises are stepping stones to finding your way through harsh circumstances.

Godly character is not the result of good intentions, wishful thinking, some mystical zap, or extensive Bible knowledge. It's developed through the self-disciplined application of God's Word at a very basic level, enabled, energized, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

If you would like to be devoted and dangerous, make prayer your top priority.

Through our relationship with Christ, we have been made righteous, which means that we have the opportunity to tap the Lord's supernatural power through prayer.

The hunger that dominates your thinking, either for worldly satisfaction or for holy living, will tell you Jesus' place of priority in your life.

Whether the Lord sends a trial or permits one, He has said He will use it as part of His plan for our good. Do you believe Him?
